1990 Aston Martin V8 Zagato

Back to Aston Martin

Once again, the Italian car designers teamed up with Aston Martin to create something breath taking and stylish. Zagato took the standard Aston Martin V8 Vantage and changed the car dramatically, so much so the original donor cars were not recognisable. They shortened the wheelbase and removed the rear seats, reduced the over hangs and made the body shape compact as they possibly could. This was all done to save weight, at least 370 lbs were saved thus allowing the car to go from 0 to 60 in just under 5 seconds and then carry on to a top speed of 186 mph.

Aston Martin eventually produced 52 cars between 1986 and 1990 of which only 27 were right hand drive. The example we have on offer here is supplied in its original colour scheme of Gladiator Red with cream leather interior and has only covered a mere 395 miles. Originally supplied by Stratton Motor company it never left the dealership, spending most of its time in a dehumidified car storage. Whilst changing hands a few times before being registered in 1990 to a Mr M. Fleming with the last keeper purchasing the car in 2014, who then consigned it to Aston Martin for a full fluid change and testing before returning it back to storage.

This car offers a unique opportunity to acquire an exceptional Zagato that was produced in limited numbers and is instantly recognisable where ever it goes as an iconic Aston Martin.
